So, I created this blog to keep myself honest on my running. Since I'm now officially registered for the Houston Marathon on January 18, 2009 (which is sold out ALREADY - craziness) I want to keep track of my mileage and progress, even before I officially start training. Also, to cushion the bitching about training to all of you guys verbally. Now you can just read it :) I've never done a blog before, so let's see how this goes. Maybe it will be just for running, maybe not!
Last week I only ran 6 miles total because we went to Keith and Ellen's wedding outside of Pittsburgh, PA. It was lovely. My condition after the reception, however, was notsomuch. Sorry. :(
Today I ran 2 miles on the treadmill and it was pretty smooth. I was going to go to Memorial Park today and do the 3 mile loop but I accidentally slept in and any time after 8 a.m., it's just too damn hot in Houston. Instead, I went to a really interesting vintage store in Montrose called Vintage Oasis that had a couple of cats running around. I had to pick through many strange items before I found a really cool sequin belt that I will be rocking at 10,000 Lakes Festival in about 2 weeks! Hopefully I'll get my lazy butt out of bed when Adam leaves for work tomorrow to get in a good outside run.
